Suicide

I just want to take this molment to explain the importance of respect. i was in the hospital for the past 25 days for trying to kill my self and there are reasons for that but i cant say why. i can tell you that i meet lots of interesting people there and they all had there own story with the same ending that could have actuly been the end. but i have noticed that people dont take this very seriously. In fact some people have lost all respect twords people that they may sometimes be the reason why people want to hurt them selfs. look at your life and think have i ever harmed any one, have ever ronged someone in some way? Now look at the situation and think could they still be mad or angry at you for that.

I have seen stuff that i have bottled up for years that i am hurting my self for now and some of it was since i was 3 or 4 years old. thats got to say somthing. no one can truly understand what it is that you say that can trigger someone but you just have to be nice so that you dont trigger them. I had a friend that told me to go jump off a cliff but I dont think she reaalised that i actuly wanted to and that is just an example that shows that you just have watch what you say.

Finally just understand that if some one says they are thinking about suiside please take them seriously even if the only thing you can do is just talk to them or give them a hug. Hugs can go a long way. and always always remember that laughter is the best medicen.

"be who you are and say what you feel because thoughs who matter dont mind and thoughs who mind dont matter?"

  1. thank you Abbi for posting this. I've been trying to tell people this kind of thing for years ever since my dad died, and even then no one really took it that seriously, nor realized how seriously I took it myself. You are correct 100%. Even though this was a sad lessen to be learned, I hope people will now realize that they should THINK before talking.

  2. You know, I think this could really become a great new group for school. For those whom have depression or have had thoughts about ending their life. I know that our stories (your's probably more than mine) would help them understand that hurting themselves or ending their lives is not the solution. Just think about it...
